About
Are you carrying more than the people around you realize? Maybe you’re used to being the strong one, caring for everyone else, or trying to hold your life together. From the outside, you may seem capable…inside, you may feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how much longer you can keep carrying it all.
Your struggle may show up through overthinking, low mood, grief, perfectionism, relationship patterns, or a difficult relationship with food and your body. I believe the ways we cope often make sense when we understand what we have lived through. Bingeing, restricting, shutting down, people-pleasing, overworking, or trying to control everything may have helped you feel safer, soothed, or able to survive a difficult season.
Therapy is not about judging those parts of you or taking away your coping before we understand it. It is about meeting yourself with curiosity and compassion, and finding gentler, more sustainable ways to care for what hurts. I want to get to know you beyond a list of symptoms, the roles you carry, the relationships that have shaped you, the values you hold, and the parts of you that are still hoping for something different.
My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. We can make space for the deeper story while also using practical tools to help you regulate difficult emotions, develop healthier boundaries, relate to yourself with greater compassion, and create change that fits your real life. As a Bengali Muslim therapist, I am attentive to how family, culture, faith, and community expectations can shape our inner world and make certain experiences difficult to say out loud.
For clients who want it, we can make space for your relationship with Allah, spiritual questions, guilt, hope, du’a, identity, and the values you want to live by. Faith will never be forced; it will be integrated in a way that feels safe and meaningful to you. You do not need to be at your worst to deserve support, and you do not need to arrive with the perfect words.
We can begin with whatever feels possible today. Bismillah!
