I like to think of myself as an Islamic therapist working within integrative philosophy. My core modality is Islamic Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as Integrative modality including psycho-somatic understanding of healing. I balance my offering with spiritual, humanistic, existential, naturopathic approaches and conceptualise them from the perspective of Quran and Sunnah at all times.
My main areas of work are around coping with personal growth stages, relationship issues, identity crisis, trauma, self-worthy stress, anxiety and grief and building resilience during times of loss and change. My experience includes working in number of charities (Woman’s Aid, Lateef Project, Cedar Counselling, My Time, Women’s Consortium and Solace) as well as NHS primary care settings. I am registered with BACP as well as share experience of providing CPCAB recognised counselling trainings. Recently I have published a book: Islamically Inspired Self-Development and launched online Islamic personal developmental program for Muslims called Islamically Inspired Therapeutics.
