My name is Sabaahath, and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and am the eldest of six siblings. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, trying new things, staying active, and pursuing ways to stay connected with community and other professionals so that I can continue to learn and grow spiritually, personally, and professionally.
I have worked as a mental health professional for over 10 years, having spent nine of those years as a therapist serving my own community. I have worked with children, families, couples, and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relational issues, marital discord, and more. I enjoyed my work as a therapist and met a lot of wonderful people along the way that have taught me a great deal about the human experience. A couple of years ago, I did a self-inventory of my career and well-being and I realized I wanted to take my career in a different direction but was unsure as to what that would look like. I spent time reflecting, identifying my goals, and establishing a purpose and intention. That journey has led me to Noor Wellness Group, a way to take care of those who take care of others. My focus now is to support clinicians and other behavioral healthcare professionals with reflective supervision and consultative services.
My supervision style: I believe in a reflective supervision approach that allows for exploration, clinical and personal growth, and a more meaningful understanding of your SELF in the therapeutic relationship as well as in relationship with yourself. The supervision space is a nurturing space to challenge, learn, and foster growth so that we can continue to practice in a way that allows for us to be self-aware and protective of our wellness. I believe in the benefits of challenging clinicians to expand clinical skills so we can bring the best version of ourselves to our work and provide optimal care to those who come to us and trust us to care for them.
I have 2+ years of supervisory experience. I am trained in reflective supervision and continue to seek learning opportunities that will strengthen my supervisory skills.
Completed trainings: Internal Family Systems level 1, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma informed care, Reflective clinical supervision and coaching
