Dr. Zohrah Haqanee received her Ph.D in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. She works with children and adolescents (and their families) presenting with a diverse array of mental and behavioural health challenges including adhd, oppositional behaviour, anger control difficulties, school related difficulties, anxiety, obsessivecompulsive_disorder_ocd, trauma_and_posttraumatic_stress_disorder_ptsd, and emotional dysregulation. Dr. Haqanee’s therapeutic orientation is primarily cognitive_behavioural_therapy_cbt,, but she also integrates other approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), acceptance_and_commitment_therapy_act, , mindfulness practices, solution-focused modalities and motivational_interviewing, in order to tailor treatment plans to the unique needs of individuals and their families. Dr. Haqanee completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She has extensive training and experience working with young people and their families across various settings including outpatient, inpatient, secure treatment and private practice settings. Furthermore, Dr. Haqanee currently provides consultative services within the Peel District School Board (PDSB).
