If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, disconnected or struggling with difficult emotions (i.e. depression, anxiety, burnout or anger), I can certainly support you. We all get hit with hardships. It takes courage to seek help. I am happy to work with you to relieve your stress, achieve wellness and improve you quality of life. My area of specialty includes working with individuals, couples and families to manage and heal from the impact of depression, anxiety and trauma. I have an eclectic approach that combines several modalities i.e. CBT, Psychodynamic & Narrative therapy). I also offer group counselling & supervision services. I have worked in hospitals and community centers, with many clients of diverse backgrounds through their personal hardships. My trauma-focused strength-based services include improving communication, stress-management and self-nurturing skills. Together we can make measurable improvements with mental health difficulties. As a registered psychotherapist and social worker with over 13 years of healthcare experience, I strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental and safe space. My services are tailored to each client's needs and is centered in compassion and empathy. As we form a trusting therapeutic relationship, I can be your ally to help you towards healing and resilience. I have been trained to provide culturally sensitive/ person-centered services to several minority/ racialized people including Arab, Black and Indigenious communities. I have extensive experience providing services to South Asian Canadians. I have also been trained as a family therapist to provide psychotherapy to children with developmental disabilities and community members who are at risk (i.e individuals struggling with unemployment, homelessness, social injustice, discrimination...)
