About

You may be functioning well on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, spiritually disconnected, or stuck in the same patterns. You may be struggling with waswasa, relationship or family difficulties, major life decisions, identity concerns, or the pressure of balancing your faith with the realities of everyday life. Sometimes, you simply want to speak with someone who understands both the psychological and Islamic dimensions of what you are experiencing.

I primarily work with Muslim adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples who are looking for a space where their faith can be respected and, when desired, meaningfully incorporated into therapy. I have a particular interest in anxiety, religious OCD and scrupulosity (waswasa), spiritual concerns, marital and relationship difficulties, Muslim identity, life transitions, and academic or professional stress.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based, with a particular emphasis on Islamically integrated Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Rather than focusing only on what is going wrong, we will explore what you want to be different, identify the strengths and resources you already possess, and work toward realistic steps that can help you move forward.

My background in traditional Islamic scholarship and my experience serving Muslim communities as an Imam and counsellor allow me to understand the religious and cultural concerns that can sometimes be difficult to explain in a conventional therapy setting. Alongside this, my graduate training in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy helps me approach these concerns through a clinically informed and ethical lens.

My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space where you can better understand what you are experiencing, reconnect with what matters to you, and develop greater clarity, confidence, and direction in your life.
