About
As Salaamu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!
I am Faizan, and my journey into the world of mental health began in an unexpected way. After graduating from the University of Houston in 2011, I set out to become a physician and spent several years in medical school. During that time, I began attending counseling sessions for myself, and that experience changed everything. I witnessed firsthand how powerful therapy could be in helping someone find clarity, balance, and hope. It was then that I realized my true calling was not in medicine, but in walking alongside others on their paths toward healing.
When I transitioned into the field of counseling, I noticed how few Muslim male therapists there were. Having worked as a middle and high school science teacher, I saw how deeply our youth and our communities needed culturally and Islamically grounded support. Alhamdulillah, that realization became the foundation for my work as a mental health counselor.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, families, and organizations to promote mental and emotional well-being. I founded my own practice with the hope of creating a space rooted in faith, professionalism, and compassion where people can find peace, growth, and connection. I am now honored to be a part of the Ruh Care platform and am hoping to help the community through this amazing organization.
I find great meaning in serving the Muslim community through counseling, workshops, and educational initiatives that bridge Islam and psychology. I believe that healing begins with understanding oneself, strengthening one’s relationship with Allah, and fostering healthier relationships with those around us.
May Allah ease your path forward and allow me to be a part of your healing journey. May He make me a means of benefit for you, and may He ease your pains, your burdens, and your trials and bless you with beautiful patience, tranquillity, and success in this life and the next. Ameen!
