Events Coordinator

Mahrukh Umrao is the Events Coordinator at Ruh, where she supports the planning and execution of meaningful, community-centered events that foster connection, growth, and well-being. She works closely with the team to help create welcoming experiences that reflect RUH’s mission of compassionate, culturally-attuned, and Islamically aligned mental health care.

With previous experience at Nestlé, along with a background in event organization and coordination, Mahrukh brings strong communication, planning, and management skills to her role. She is passionate about creating organized and impactful experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.

She also has a strong interest in mental health and community well-being, and is dedicated to contributing to spaces that encourage support, healing, and positive conversations within the community.

One of Mahrukh’s biggest motivations for joining Ruh was the opportunity to be part of a community working towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly within Muslim communities.
