About
You may feel like you’re constantly holding everything together. Perhaps you find yourself replaying conversations long after they’ve ended, worrying about disappointing others, or feeling emotionally drained from trying to meet everyone’s expectations. You may be navigating family pressures, relationship stress, or past experiences that still shape how you see yourself today. From the outside it may seem like you’re managing, but internally you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. You might even wonder: When did I lose myself along the way?
Often, the ways we cope; overthinking, people-pleasing, shutting down, or avoiding difficult emotions, begin as ways to protect ourselves. Over time, these patterns can leave you feeling exhausted and unsure of how to move forward. Healing begins when we start to understand these patterns with compassion rather than judgement. Therapy can be a place where you finally slow down and make sense of everything you’ve been holding.
In our work together, we will explore the deeper roots of what you’re experiencing and develop healthier ways to respond to life’s challenges. My approach integrates several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to supporting couples and strengthening relationships.
Islam recognizes the complexity of the human soul, the struggles of the nafs, the purification of the heart, and the balance between accountability and mercy. For clients who value incorporating faith into their healing, I integrate these teachings in a way that feels authentic and grounded.
Therapy is not just about managing symptoms; it’s about helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and build a greater sense of balance and clarity in your life. If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to see if we may be a good fit.
